About LocalFaceoff

LocalFaceoff is a live guide to outdoor ice, starting with Ottawa. It is built and run by Baldwin Industries, a small Ottawa company.

Rink locations and amenities come from the City of Ottawa's open data, the Ville de Montréal's rink conditions feed and the City of Toronto's outdoor rink data. On top of that we add what the people at the rink tell us: ten-second ice reports from skaters (no account needed) and status updates from rink wardens — the volunteers who flood the ice.

Every score shows how old it is and how confident we are. Read the method.
